Use zippered dust-proof covers on mattresses and pillows
Wash sheets and blankets in hot water each week
Avoid wool and feather-filled quilts
Avoid upholstered furniture and blinds
Minimize carpeting if possible
Choose washable curtains, rugs and blankets
